My name is Daniel Bryce, and I am a full-time Informational Technology professional from New York City. I moved to New York from Jamaica, West Indies, forty-eight years ago and had lived in New York ever since. Before coming to New York, I did a brief stint as a high school teacher in Jamaica followed by three years as a computer technician working at the US Naval Supply Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Other than the brief period I spent as a teacher, most of my professional career has been in computer technology. I worked for sixteen years as a computer operations manager for a savings bank in New York City, and for the last eighteen years, I have been working for a government agency as a computer security specialist, focusing on disaster recovery planning.

After such a long career as a computer professional, I have become somewhat dependent, like many others, on the use of computers for most things I do, including online shopping, research, and much more.
I joined Wealthy Affiliate in 2015 and immediately became a premium member because I could see that WA offered a different approach to online marketing than what was available elsewhere online.
However, before I became a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I had spent several years trying to start an online business by joining many different online marketing programs trying to find the right one that could enable me to make the extra income that so many people seek online. I ended up spending money to join these programs and pay monthly fees for the use of a website and not make any money.
The difference between Wealthy Affiliate and the other platforms I have been part of is that Wealthy Affiliate offered free membership with a free website as well as a do-it-yourself approach supported by extensive training how to build your site and set up your online business without spending any money. These are what attracted me to Wealthy Affiliate. So, when it came time to go premium, it was an easy decision.
My career as an IT professional will come to an end at the end of this year when I retire. From that point on I will devote my full time and efforts to building my online business with Wealthy Affiliate.
